are some so many different brands of home gyms
on the market. Today it has become increasingly
difficult to choose the one that is right for
you. To give our customers a little bit of help
making the right decision, HomeGymWarehouse.Net

reviews and our own forty five years of experience

When
looking into a home gym there are many things
to consider.
Frame
Stability of a home gym is often the bottom line
in the decision to purchase a particular unit.
This factor will usually determine the longevity
of a gym as to how well it holds up. Many times
an individuals size will directly the longevity
and the function of a gym. Don't be offended if
a sales person asks you over the phone your height
and your weight. This will be essential in determining
unit is going to fit your needs.
Cables
When purchasing a home gym the cables should range
from 2000-4000 lbs. aircraft tested. Some manufacturers
like to cut comers and use thinner cables that
aren't nylon coated, instead plastic coated cables
are used which tend to were out quicker and cause
the machine to perform poorly. Cables are a very
important variable as they are ultimately responsible
for the movement of the weight stack.
Pulleys
Cables will function properly when using quality
nylon pulleys which are fiberglass impregnated
with double sealed bearings. Also precision fit
cable grooves insure proper cable tracking.
Upholstry
Contour well padded naugahide upholstery will
help add comfort and simplicity to your workouts.
When purchasing a home gym the upholstery should
be commercial grade 2mm overall thickness coupled
with foam padding equal to 1.5in. thick rebounded
to 7lbs. Make sure that the seams are also double
stitched.
These
factors should also be considered when choosing
a gym!
Stability
When buying a gym stability should always be a
major concern. Commercial strength 2in.x3in.guage
steel tubing is recommended for entended use.
Some manufacturers like to cut the cost by using
lower quality materials which don't hold up to
the stress over a duration of time.
Adjustability
Units that are adjustable make it much easier
to perform exercises biomechanically correct by
accommodating various body sizes. We recommend
precision spring loaded pull-pin securely welded
on to the frame with close tolerance chromed telescopic
tubing that provides a minimum of 6in.increment
for adjustment. In reference to the seat height
and back support positions, this will eliminate
the amount of injuries and provide for a smoother
workout.
Range
of Motion
Patent-pending , color coded preset starting positions
devices will add a nice option to your home gym,
making exercises more user friendly. Fixed-arms
maybe suitable for one person but rather uncomfortable
for others. This is an extremely important factor
especially if there is any form of injury that
is involved where range of motion is limited.
Useability
Other key factor that you need to keep in mind
when buying a home gym include number of individuals
using machine (individual or group) ,amount of
exercises machine incorporates ,workload of the
gym (how many hours a day in use), and floor space(1,2,3,4
stack gym). If you have a fairly large location
where a number of individuals maybe using the
gym, them you might want to consider a 2, 3, 4
stack gym.
Space
If space is a major concern for you when choosing
a home gym, look for a unit that is compact and
space efficient. Select a gym that has a tripod
design and sits flat against the wall. This will
allow you to complete a greater variety of exercises
off of the front end of the machine while occupying
less floor space. The tripod design adds easthetic
as well as greater stability to your home gym.
